The Emergency Management Team is responsible for the comprehensive development and implementation of the four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. The team is dedicated to preparing the employees and citizens for the impacts of emergencies and disasters.

San Bernardino County residents can signup for emergency alerts via text message and VoIP. To signup online, please visit www.sbcfire.org and click on the "Sign up for Emergency Alerts" icon. Thanks to the partnership with San Bernardino County 's 2-1-1 social services hotline, residents who do not have internet access may register by dialing 2-1-1. SBConnect radio, WQVK705, broadcasting on AM 1610 and streaming on TuneIn mobile app, is the city's information station dedicated to providing listeners with city event, travel and emergency content. Should an emergency arise, information will be broadcast on this station.

Sand and Sandbag Locations
Live in a flood area? Sand and empty sandbags are available at the following locations during the rainy season:

Blair Park - off Little Mountain Drive and 33rd Street - starting on January 9, 2018
Nuñez Park - 5th and Medical Center Drive
Lytle Creek Park - off K Street and West Mill Street

Don't forget to bring your own shovel and gloves! At times, empty sandbags may run out, if that is the case, bags are available for purchase at your local home improvement center.
