Connect Homes Reinvents Modern Living in the Heart of San Bernardino
Innovation is often born in times of market pressure. The nationwide housing demand–but especially in California–has created an opening for non-traditional housing to flourish as lack of availability, inflated pricing, and competition makes home ownership difficult for most buyers. Connect Homes, an industry-leading prefab housing provider, is just one of the companies reimagining modern living.
While headquartered in Los Angeles, Connect Homes builds its sleek, energy-efficient modular homes at a 100,000 square-foot facility in San Bernardino. Connect Homes offers a variety of models to fit different lots, lifestyles, and budgets. By delivering nearly finished models on-site, Connect Homes eliminates labor and supply chain uncertainties, simplifying work timelines to weeks instead of months.

Founded in 2013 by architects Jared Levy and Gordon Stott, Connect Homes has become an exemplary blueprint of innovation in San Bernardino. Leveraging San Bernardino’s geographical access, talent pool, and economic advantages, Connect Homes is revolutionizing the single-family home market.
“We chose San Bernardino for several reasons,” said Greg Leung, CEO of Connect Homes. “The area offered large warehouse spaces that were ideally suited for setting up assembly line production for our homes. Additionally, the area is home to a skilled labor force, who are eager to have the opportunity to utilize their construction trade skills without commuting to far-off construction sites. Many of our partners in our supply chain also have a presence in San Bernardino which better allows us to take a just-in-time delivery approach to many of our supplies.”

San Bernardino is known for its strategic investments to attract burgeoning industries. This has enabled Connect Homes to rely on San Bernardino for maintaining a business-friendly environment.
“San Bernardino’s commitment to providing industrial infrastructure has allowed us to operate efficiently and effectively,” shared Leung. “This is one of the best cities in California to access reasonable market value for industrial space.”

Connect Homes also received support from both San Bernardino and Riverside Counties to receive On-the-Job Training grants for the facility, enabling unemployed locals to learn new occupational skills while taking home a paycheck.
“San Bernardino is committed to creating the best possible business environment so that companies like Connect Homes can thrive and provide gainful employment to our diverse workforce,” said Amanda Hernandez, Economic Development Division Manager at the City of San Bernardino. “Not only does Connect Homes produce a beautiful product, but they are making modern living more accessible for San Bernardino and beyond.”
