Fifty-four Arrested and thirty-two Cited at City of San Bernardino DUI Checkpoint
San Bernardino, Calif. – Six drivers were arrested for Driving under the influence and thirty-two citations were issued at a DUI checkpoint on March 31, 2023.
The DUI checkpoint was held at 5th and Medical Center Drive from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Forty-one drivers were arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, and 900 vehicles were contacted during the checkpoint. Seven warrant arrests were made. Seventeen vehicles were impounded.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off the roads.
The next DUI checkpoint will be held on April 14, 2023.
