On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at about 8:00 p.m., the San Bernardino Police call center received a 911 call regarding a shooting that had occurred at a local business with a subject down to the front. Officers responded and found Alkouli suffering from a gunshot wound. He was treated on scene by SB County Fire Department personnel and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Alkouli did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital by doctors. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. During the investigation Norris was identified as the shooter and a Ramey warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at about 3pm, Norris was arrested without incident at a business near University Parkway and Hallmark Parkway. He was transported to a local jail facility where he was booked on the charge of murder.
